Who’s Setting The Stage For Aishwarya To Romance Abhishek?
Mr and Mrs Bachchan last acted together in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan (2010). Is the time right to tide over the 7 year box-office itch?
Last week Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwara Rai stepped out
for a late night meeting with Karan Johar at designer Manish Malhotra’s house.
Four days back, the Bachchans met KJo yet again, albeit
in a hush-hush manner. Two days back, Karan’s manager Reshma Shetty drove down
to the Bachchan residence Janak for a two-hour meeting. Woah! That’s three
meetings in 7 days. What’s happening?
Are the Bachchans shaking hands with Karan Johar over a
movie? Yes, possibly. Reliable sources have revealed to SpotboyE.com that the
stage is being set for the Guru (2007) pair to return on the silver screen.

Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai
Mushkil (2016). She stood out in the multi-starrer and won a million hearts,
including Karan’s. The filmmaker has expressed his fondness and love for Ash on
several occasions. Sources tell us that the filmmaker wants to waste no time to
work with Mrs Bachchan again. Only, this time, Karan is hoping to land a
casting coup of sorts by getting Ash’s hubby dearest to act in the movie too.
Talks are on and meetings are taking place. If the
Bachchans give their nod, this will be their 9th project together. They first
appeared in the not-so-memorable, Bollywood romantic musical, Dhai Akshar Prem
Ke (2000). Three years later, they acted in Rohan
Sippy's Kuch Naa Kaho (2003). In 2005, they featured in the chart buster
Kajra Re from the superhit Bunty Aur Babli. The very next year they
starred in JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan (2006). The same year they acted in YRF’s
multi-starrer action extravaganza Dhoom 2. Then came Mani Ratnam’s master piece
Guru (2007). Post marriage, they featured in RGV’s Sarkaar Raj, with its
starcast helmed by Amitabh Bachchan. Their last film together was Mani Ratnam’s
action-adventure Raavan (2010).
It has been 7-long years since Mr and Mrs Bachchan shared
screen space. Time to tide over the proverbial 7 year itch?
